Well... if this were a journal, I would be brushing off a few pounds of dust because it has literally been years since I have even thought about blogging. Alas, here we are.
Let's see... what has happened since I last typed on a blog... which, I'm guessing was around 2013? I can't even tell because when I deleted my blog apparently I "permanented deleted" it and there is no recovery for that.
Here's the cliff notes...
Andy, Daisy and I became a family of 4 when we adopted Duke... a sweet little Australian Shepard/lab mix who would go on to live another 7 years before he ate a toy from our now 6 year old and became Septic. It was rough, and right in the middle of a big event of 2020... you all know what that is. There's a lot in between tho, let's get to that! Andy and I lost an angel baby April 23, 2014, we found out he was going to medically discharge from the Army which was hard but OK and made our journey from Georgia back to Idaho in September of 2014. It was an adjustment going back to "civilian life" and those babies that had only been married for 3 years were about to learn A LOT!
In March of 2015 we moved into our apartment and one week later found out we were pregnant! That sweet little boy, Alex was born in November and has brought a joy we didn't know possible. Andy obtained his associates degree, adjusted to life outside of the Army all while enjoying being a daddy. I went back to work with my old boss in a position he created and managed just for me. It has been fun being near family again and we love watching our son grow up with cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents all within 30 minutes. In February of 2019 we found out we were pregnant again, but March 12th we lost it. Lots of emotions came with the second loss and lots of prayer for what steps we were going to take next. Life went on, the pandemic happened and here we are. We are at peace with our one amazing little boy and between 2 full time careers, he keeps us plenty busy! Oh and I can't forget Daisy! Our ride or die has been with us from basically the beginning since we were married 3 months when we got her. She is getting old and hard of hearing but does not skip a beat when her people are home. She is wherever we are and usually closest to the one with the food.
That's all for now... welcome to our simple life... I hope you stick around!
